Program...

Day 1. Departure in the morning at the time of your choice with your guide. Visit the famous Tanah Lot or Mengwi temple as well as a village specializing in pottery and brick making. Small stroll in the monkey forest of Sangeh then after lunch in a local warung (not included), towards the west center. Your guide will leave you on the way, at the entrance to a path that you will take on foot in the company of a local guide from the region. It will take you about an hour to walk through superb rice fields to reach the camp where you will spend the next two nights, far from any civilization. End of the afternoon free to enjoy the environment and the beauty of the landscapes.

 

Day 2. Hike in the countryside through rice fields, forests, waterfalls, plantations and villages ... You have the choice between two options: hike of about 3 hours with a departure at 8:30 am and a return to camp around noon for lunch. Free afternoon, small walks around the camp. Or longer hike from 6 am to 7 am with a departure at 8:30 am, picnic on the way and return to the camp around 5 pm.

 

Day 3. After breakfast facing the rice fields, departure in the morning towards Mount Batukaru and visit of its superb temple. You will then take small paths to reach the famous site of Jatiluwih with the possibility of carrying out a new walk on foot of approximately 1 hour (flexible duration). The site has become very touristy today but your guide knows the corners to avoid the crowd! Return at the end of the afternoon to your hotel.

Program...

Day 1. Departure early afternoon with your guide to the center west of the island. Your guide will leave you on the way, at the entrance to a path that you will take on foot in the company of a local guide from the region. It will take you about an hour to walk through superb rice fields to reach the camp where you will spend the next two nights, far from any civilization. End of the afternoon free to enjoy the environment and the beauty of the landscapes.

Along the way, you will have the opportunity to discover small sacred temples lost in the middle of nature as well as a small "warung" isolated in the countryside and surrounded by coffee plantations, the opportunity for a small break for a tasting. After lunch (picnic) facing the rice fields, you will continue your walk for about 3 hours and will reach a small village near the Batukaru temple. Overnight in a simple hotel where your hosts will prepare an excellent typical Balinese dinner.

Day 4. In the morning, you will have the opportunity to visit the Batukaru temple then departure for a new walk of about 4 hours through primary forest and rice fields to the famous site of Jatiluwih. Lunch in a simple restaurant then discovery of a small waterfall for a refreshing dip. Return at the end of the afternoon in the south of the island.

This trek does not present any particular difficulties but it requires to be in good physical conditions (total of 30 to 40km over 3 days with elevation gain of 500 to 800 meters per day). The ground is often wet, with uneven and can be slippery. Bring on your side, flashlight, small backpack, a sweater for the night in the mountains which can be cool, a rain pancho and good walking shoes.

Program...

Day 1. Departure in the morning at the time of your choice with your guide. Visit the famous temple of Tanah Lot or Mengwi as well as a village specializing in pottery and artisanal briquetting. Then after lunch in a local warung (not included), direction your villa. Your guide will suggest a stop along one of the region's superb black sand beaches along the way and it is time to relax by the infinity pool. End of the afternoon free for a first massage and to enjoy the beauty of the place.

 

Day 2. This morning on the program, hiking in the countryside through rice fields, visiting a temple, a waterfall, plantations and villages ... You have the choice of modulating this day according to your desires and according to the desired duration: Rambut Siwi Temple facing the sea, rubber factory, Bunut Bolong site, Belimbing region. Before or after these visits, you will have to take advantage of your Yoga class in the great outdoors! You can also taste a traditional "Jamu" to regain strength. Do not miss the superb sunrises and sunsets which will offer you unique lights on the landscapes surrounding the villa.

 

Day 3. After having your breakfast in front of a superb view, it will be necessary to think of the departure. It will be time for a little massage before or after this snack, a great opportunity to get on your feet! Without further ado, you will reach the Batukaru region in the heart of the forest and this will be the occasion to visit its superb temple. Discovery of the Jatiluwih rice fields and lunch in a local restaurant (not included). Depending on your wishes and the duration of the walks, you can join the lake region and the famous Ulun Danau Beratan temple. You will then reach the south by making a short stop at the Baturiti vegetable market. Return at the end of the afternoon to your starting point.

Program...

Day 1. Departure in the morning, in the company of your guide, for Ubud and its surroundings. Your guide will be happy to advise you according to your desires of the day. You can choose to go to Gunung Kawi and visit its funeral temples, visit the sacred springs of Tirta Empul or the temple of Goa Gajah "the cave of the elephants". From there, if you wish, you can go to Yeh Pulu to admire its 14th century frieze or discover the Pejeng moon and the largest bronze drum melted in one go known in the world. Then you will join the Kampung of the Made family who will give you a warm welcome. You can attend a small show of traditional dances organized by the children of the village and dine with your hosts.

 

Day 2. Early in the morning, you will have the opportunity to go to the local market. During the day, you can take part in a cooking class with Made to prepare a delicious meal or even a course in making offerings. And depending on the Balinese calendar, you may have the opportunity to attend a ceremony. Other tours can be offered by your guide: you could leave for Klungkung, the regional capital, with its typical shopping street, famous for its fabrics, to visit its old courthouse and the famous painted ceilings of Kerta Gosa. You could then choose to have lunch on Pantai Lebih or Padang Bai beach where you will taste, in a very local atmosphere, fresh grilled fish. Then, you may be tempted by a walk in the rice fields or by car in the region to visit an ikat workshop or an arak factory. Back to the kampung of the Made family. Dinner with your hosts.

Day 3. You can still enjoy your hosts and the surroundings of Bakas. It will then be time to say goodbye and go further north to visit the temple of Kehen. Built on 3 terraces, the temple dedicated to Shiva is inhabited by a hundred statues (barong, elephants, dragons, turtles ...) each more beautiful than the other. Then you will head to the traditional bamboo village of Penglipuran, one of the oldest villages in Bali which still adheres to lost customs and ancestral culture. Then, you will take the road again and will be able to discover the superb waterfalls of the region still little visited: Air Terjun Tibuana and Goa Rang Reng with the possibility of swimming there. Return to your hotel at the end of the afternoon.
